Did you know that you can make your own spice mixes?
This simple pumpkin spice mixture is ideal to have on hand during the autumn baking season. It only takes two minutes to put together and will save you so much time when you start baking. There's no need to faff around with lots of different spice pots, simply add spoonfuls of your homemade pumpkin spice mix to your recipes when needed!
Dried spices are a great cupboard essential. They last for ages and you can mix up endless possibilities of our own flavour combinations.
My easy pumpkin spice mixture is the perfect balance of sweet, spicy, rich and aromatic and works amazingly to give a little autumn kick to your seasonal bakes.


This recipe makes one small pot of pumpkin spice mixture. Keep sealed in a glass jar and store in a cool and dry place.
Dried spices last almost forever! But they do loose their strength over time, so I recommend making a small batch like this to last the season, then remaking each year.

Makes one small pot of spice mixture
Ingredients;
6 tsp ground sweet cinnamon
2 tsp ginger
2 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp cloves
1 tsp all spice
You will also need; a small glass pot or spice jar, a teaspoon
How to make your spice mix;
Place all the ingredients into a small glass pot or jar, stir together and keep sealed until needed!

Tips & Tricks!
You can of course adapt this recipe for your taste preferences. If you like a more fiery ginger kick, add a little extra, or if you find the cloves taste too strong, add a little less!
