Vegan Microwave Chocolate Mug Cake

Microwave for just one minute and you have the perfect, gooey chocolate mug cake!



This recipe makes one easy-peasy microwave chocolate mug cake. Just mix your ingredients together, add in a handful of chocolate chips and heat for just 45-60 seconds in the microwave to make the quickest, yummiest chocolate mug cake.



The cake comes together so quickly and tastes deliciously warm and gooey straight out of the microwave. You could even add a scoop of vegan ice cream on top if you're looking for an extra special chocolatey treat!



Makes one microwave mug cake

 

Ingredients;                    

2 tbs plain flour                       

2 tbs white sugar

1 tsp cocoa powder

1/2 tsp baking powder

1 tbs sunflower or vegetable oil

4 tbs plant milk

Handful of chocolate chips

 

You will also need; a mug, a spoon



How to make your mug cake;

  1. Add all the dry ingredients to your mug and give them a quick mix

  2. Add the wet ingredients and mix again to make sure everything is combined

  3. Add a handful of chocolate chips and gently mix through - save a few to add to the top once baked!

  4. Microwave on full power for 45-60 seconds. The shorter you microwave for the gooier your cake will be, and the longer you microwave for, the more spongy your cake will be

  5. Once cooked, add your extra chocolate chips on top and it's ready to eat!


Tips & Tricks!

  • Any chocolate chips work perfectly in this recipe and you can add as many as you feel like eating! I like to use dark chocolate chips

  • The shorter you microwave for, the gooier your cake will be and the longer you microwave for, the more spongy your cake will be

  • A scoop of vegan ice cream on top really levels up your mug cake!

  • Make sure you use a larger sized mug! My cup was a bit too small and the cake started going over the sides!
