Pumpkin Cinnamon Swirls Recipe

Makes 12 pastries

Ingredients;
1x roll of ready made puff pastry
90g pumpkin puree
45g soft brown sugar
35g vegan butter
2tsp cinnamon

You will also need; a baking tray, baking paper, sharp knife or dental floss, spoon, mixing bowl
Method;
1.      Preheat your oven to 180°c
2.      Cover your baking tray in baking paper to stop the pastries from sticking
3.      Add the pumpkin puree, sugar, butter and cinnamon to a mixing bowl and mix together until smooth and creamy
4.      Unroll the pastry and spoon the pumpkin filling on top. Use the back of your spoon to smooth the filling all over the pastry
5.      Start at the short end of the pastry and roll the pastry up to create a large swirled pastry sausage
6.      Use a sharp knife to slice your sausage into 12 even pieces or wrap dental floss around the pastry sausage and pull the ends tightly so that it slices the pastry for you
7.      Place the swirls flat on the baking paper, making sure that they are not too close together
8.      Bake for around 15-20 minutes until golden
9.      Optional, dust with icing sugar to make them look extra fancy!
