Easy Vanilla Pancakes & Chocolate Sauce Recipe

Easy peasy pancakes and a super simple chocolate sauce

Makes around 6 pancakes

 

Ingredients for pancakes;                                        Ingredients for chocolate sauce;  

150g plain flour                                                          50g sugar

6g baking powder                                                     25g vegan cream

Pinch of powdered vanilla or tsp vanilla extract   tsp maple syrup

200g plant milk                                                         

3g apple cider vinegar                                               Optional - crushed mini eggs, cream eggs, other sweet treats or fruit

 

You will also need; a bowl, a whisk, a spoon, a microwavable bowl, a frying pan, spatula

Method;

1.       Make your chocolate sauce.  Add all the ingredients into a microwavable bowl and heat gently in 15 second bursts, stirring in between

2.       Once the chocolate is nearly melted, continue stirring until the heat from the sauce has melted any remining chocolate chunks

3.       Set aside and make the pancakes

4.       In a bowl, whisk together all the pancake ingredients to make a smooth batter

5.       Preheat your frying pan on the hob and grease with a little vegan butter or vegetable oil

6.       Once the butter is hot, pour in the batter for the first pancake

7.       Cook for 2-4 minutes until you can easily slide a spatula underneath, then flip to cook the other side for 2-4 minutes

8.       Set pancake aside on a plate and continue until you have used all the batter.  This recipe should make around 6 medium sized pancakes

9.       Stack your pancakes on your plate and pour over your chocolate sauce

10.   Add any toppings to your pancakes, such as crushed mini eggs, cream eggs or other leftover easter chocolates

11.   Eat and enjoy!
